”NOVA REALNOST” / “NEW REALITY”

Festivala nismo preklicali ali preložili, ampak smo izvirno edicijo razširili, nadgradili in spremenili v dvanajstmesečni kulturni projekt, izveden v treh programskih sklopih, ki se bodo zvrstili od junija 2020 do junija 2021.

Prvi sklop U[KREP]a 2020 je potekal od 12. do 15. junija na temo »Nova realnost« v sodelovanju z Alma Mater Europaea – Akademijo za ples in festivalom Svetlobna gverila ter v povezavi s PTL-jevo Kreativno šolo plesnega filma. Nova realnost samoizolacije, karantene, spremenjenih pogojev delovanja in kolektivnega ustvarjanja je dobesedno »pljusknila« čez realnost, kot smo jo poznali do sedaj. Na obronkih znanega se v obrisih poraja »nova realnost«, ki jo lahko (zaenkrat) tipamo v temi, slutimo v želodcih, ne moremo pa je še zares misliti.

Širši programski sklopi od nove realnosti k velikemu finalu:

junij 2020, tema festivala je »Nova realnost«;
konec leta 2020 in začetek leta 2021, izvedba EU mednarodnega programa;
junij 2021, »veliki finale« in zaključek festivala s predstavami iz Azije in Afrike.

Pandemiji navkljub se bo zgodil pester, prodoren in inovativen festival domače in tuje sodobnoplesne ustvarjalnosti z nujnimi izjemami.

Pandemija riše precej nepredvidljive okoliščine, zato je možno, da bo zaradi morebitnih sprememb vedenjskih priporočil prišlo tudi do spremembe programa. Za to se že vnaprej opravičujemo in se zahvaljujemo za razumevanje.

We have not canceled or postponed the festival, but rather expanded, upgraded and changed the original edition into a twelve-month cultural project, carried out in three programme clusters taking place between June 2020 and June 2021.

The first part of the U[KREP] 2020 took place from June 12 to June 15 on the subject of “New Reality”, in collaboration with Alma Mater Europaea – Dance Academy and Lighting Guerrilla Festival and in conjunction with the Creative School of Dance Film organized by Dance Theatre Ljubljana (PTL). The new reality of self-isolation, quarantine, changed working conditions and collective creative participation has literally “washed over” the reality as we used to know it. The outlines of a “new reality” are emerging at the edges of the known, which we can (for now) feel in the dark, sense in our bellies, but are not yet able to really think it.

Wider programme clusters from new reality to grand finale

June 2020, festival theme “New Reality”;
end of 2020 and beginning of 2021, implementation of the EU international program;
June 2021, »grand finale« and closing of the festival with performances from Asia and Africa.

Despite the pandemic, we look forward to a diverse, incisive and innovative festival of local and international contemporary dance creativity with necessary exceptions.

Rather unpredictable circumstances due to the pandemic may result in changes to the programme due to possible new recommendations regarding safety measures. We apologize in advance and thank you for your understanding.

O predstavi

Projekt PLI združuje 22 konferenčnih stolov, obsesivni ritem in enega predanega moškega. Na majhni platformi se Viktor Černický odločno loti poskusa nedoločene konstrukcije, rekonstrukcije in dekonstrukcije Univerzuma. Rezultat je inteligentna in igriva solo predstava – fizična metafora za neskončno človeško dinamiko, potrpežljivost in stremljenje, ki tudi povsem običajne predmete spreminja v neverjetna arhitekturna dela.

PLI sledi baročni filozofiji Gottfrieda Willhelma Leibniza in je nepredvidljiva in humorna predstava, ki baročno robustnost nadomešča s prostorsko skromnostjo in materialnim minimalizmom.

About the performance

The PLI project PLI brings together 22 conference chairs, obsessive rhythm, and one devoted man. On a small platform, Viktor Černický dives resolutely into the effort for indefinite construction, reconstruction and deconstruction of the Universe. The outcome is an intelligent and playful solo – a physical metaphor for endless human dynamics, patience and striving that turns even the most ordinary objects into incredible pieces of architecture.

Following the baroque philosophy of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, PLI is an unpredictable and humorous performance where baroque robustness is replaced with spatial modesty and material minimalism.
