O projektu:
About the project:
How do we talk in the theater about something as big and intangible as the climate crisis? How can young people express themselves about something they have very little or no control over? How can we influence society regardless of the environment we belong to? How can we fight together? A group of six young artists from different backgrounds, who have never worked together before, are united by these questions. Inspired by the attacks on artworks to combat the climate crisis, the performance Screaming Spring uses Botticelli's Primavera to develop a multi-dimensional discourse on the threat to both nature and culture. By expressing the importance of spring and its value to us as individual beings, it questions the value we as a society place on the well-being of nature. In addition, the performance highlights how our culture endangers the very things it holds dear by disregarding the well-being of the environment.
